The Tornionjoki River is Europe's largest wild Atlantic salmon river. Catch-and-release fishing from June to August. Salmon run can produce fish over 20 kg.
Tornio's art museum housed in a 1930s building. Finnish and Nordic art, with rotating exhibitions. Free entry on some days.
